Renting a server in China is challenging since they often have strict access policies.
I used to use Alibaba Cloud but was kicked out. Plus, they no longer allow domain names that were registered for years to be verified.
To avoid restrictions, I moved my domain overseas and discovered new possibilities. Free wildcard SSL certificates abroad can be automated with server scripts—so I’m not going back!
However, foreign SSL providers don’t offer certificates compatible with China’s domain registration requirements, which is quite a unique local characteristic.
Seems like most are supported, maybe except for IE? I haven’t tested it. If it’s not supported, it’s probably fine. (*‘ v`*)
